Review by hotel critic
Our stay at Hotel Gesellschaftshaus was a delightful blend of comfort and charm. The family-run establishment's central location in Bergen auf Rügen was ideal for our journey, and waking up to a hearty buffet breakfast in the inviting dining room set the perfect tone for the day ahead. The spacious room with a private bathroom was clean and welcoming, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. The owner, who wore many hats including bartender and receptionist, went above and beyond to make us feel at home, even assisting with parking in the courtyard. The restaurant offered a range of delicious German meals at reasonable prices, allowing us to savor authentic local flavors without straying too far from our cozy accommodations.Exploring the charming gardens with their own pond was a tranquil experience, and the terrace offered a lovely spot to unwind and enjoy views of the garden. Free WiFi access and private parking added convenience to our stay, and the staff's friendly demeanor made us feel truly welcomed. From the timber-framed houses to the medieval buildings in the historic Market Town, the setting was picturesque and rich in history. Whether relaxing in the charming gardens or venturing out to explore the surroundings, this hotel served as a perfect base for our Bavarian adventure.
